Care Guide
An artefact that survived the formation of the solar system, the fall through our atmosphere and several thousand years in the ground will comfortably survive being worn. A little care keeps it looking as it did the day it reached you.
Meteorite
Iron meteorites such as Muonionalusta, Gibeon and Campo del Cielo can oxidise if they are left wet. Keep your piece dry, dry it thoroughly if it does meet water, and the etched pattern will last a lifetime.
Remove your artefact before swimming, bathing, exercising or manual work. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, household cleaners and chlorinated water.
Stone
Natural stone is softer than it looks. Tiger Eye, Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite and Black Agate should be kept away from harsh chemicals and sudden heat. Clean them with a dry, soft cloth only.
Silver
Sterling silver darkens naturally over time. A gentle polish with a soft jewellery cloth restores it. Do not use silver dip on any piece containing meteorite or natural stone.
Tungsten
Tungsten is exceptionally hard and highly scratch resistant, which is why we use it for the Legacy rings. It cannot be resized, so please check your size carefully before ordering.
Storage
Store your artefact in its presentation box when it is not being worn, away from damp and direct sunlight. Keep pieces separate rather than loose together, so harder materials cannot mark softer ones.
If something goes wrong
Write to us at theechoesofatlas@gmail.com. We would always rather repair a piece than see it retired.
